The Assistant Medical Director advises First Stop Health physicians on providing high-quality clinical care through clinical tools, training, and guidance. Our providers must deliver care that is safe, effective, timely, efficient, equitable, and people-centered. The Assistant Medical Director also contributes to the clinical direction of the company by providing guidance on platform development priorities and acts as a subject matter expert for the consult process. This role reports to the Physician Operations Manager and works closely with the Chief Medical Officer to ensure network physicians meet standard of care and service. Develop and maintain clinical templates, guidelines, clinical training materials
Deliver ongoing feedback and coaching to FSH contracted physicians
Provide guidance to network physicians and physician network leadership to drive improvements in efficiency, effective communication, and positive care outcomes.
Assess clinical competency of prospective physicians.
Assist in providing physician training to maintain clinical competency.
Advise on platform development priorities related to physician platform experience.
Treat patients on our platform.
10+ years direct clinical care experience required
Organizational leadership experience strongly preferred
Board Certified in Urgent Care, Emergency Department, or Family Medicine preferred
At least 2 years of telemedicine experience in acute care setting
Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
