Telehealth Nurse - Part Time (Home Based) – Nebraska

We have immediate openings for multiple part-time roles working 24-30 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
JOB SUMMARY
The Remote R.N. Telehealth Triage Nurse role functions as a resource and provider of medical management for our clients' patients - utilizing telephonic interaction (VOIP) as the mode of delivery. The Triage Nurse facilitates caller’s access to appropriate level of care based on approved protocols, by assessing needs, offering clinical options and referral to urgent care facilities, if appropriate.
CORE COMPETENCIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Principle duties
- Answer inbound calls from Patients
- Place outbound calls to Patients per approved protocols
- Assess and document in EMR Client’s concerns
- Advised Client per Approved Protocols
- Fully document Phone encounter
- Communicate with Health Care Provider through approved methods as needed.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with unencumbered Licensure in a Compact State or the State of Nebraska
- Current demonstration of clinical proficiency
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrates Excellent Critical Thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrates Ability to make sound judgments in emergency situations
- Demonstrates Ability to work within approved procedure and clinical guidelines
- Demonstrates Ability to interact with multiple and diversified consumers
- Electronic Medical Record Experience
- Ability to use windows based computer software
Physical Demands
- Ability to hear in normal range and wear a headset / ear piece
- Good visual acuity to read computer screens, scripts, forms etc.
- Sits 100% of the time when taking calls
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Registered Nurse with unencumbered Licensure in a Compact State or the State of Nebraska
- 5 years Clinical Experience
- Licensure in a Compact State or the State of Nebraska
- Experience in Telephone Triage, OB/GYN, Emergency Medicine, Adult, Pediatric, Orthopedic, Ambulatory Care, Home Health, or ICU preferred
- Ability to work occasional weekends
- Private HIPPA compliant office
- Broadband Internet Access
